Rightmove traffic shows pr...

Millions of people joined in the national #ClapForOurCarers campaign standing in their doorways and balconies to applaud our NHS.

The moving tribute was the nation's way of saying thank you to the incredible health professionals and social care workers who are working on the frontline against the coronavirus.

Interestingly, our analysts have found that Rightmove traffic dipped at the exact moment the nationwide round of applause began.

During last Thursday's (March 26) #ClapForOurCarers, Rightmove saw traffic dipping at 8pm – as people put down their devices to show their appreciation for the NHS.

This data highlights just how successful the tribute was among the millions of people searching and researching on Rightmove every day, taking a break to show their support for the country's heroic health workers.

Stay at home to stop coronavirus spreading

Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus. You should only leave the house for one of four reasons:

  • Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
  • One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle – alone or with members of your household
  • Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
  • Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home
