estate agent ashford

If you ask most agents, then you will probably get a standard reply. It's always a good time to sell! To a certain degree this is true, sell when it's quieter so the competition is not so strong, this makes you more attractive as a buyer as there are fewer buyers around.

My advice is as follows:

The last 2 or 3 weeks of December are a bit of a waste of time, people have Xmas, relatives, shopping on their mind rather than moving. Get your agent to have your house market ready i.e., photos, 3D tours, and drone tours completed in early December (prior to decorations going up) so you can be ready to market in late December or early January.

However, my personal favourite has always been the September market, In theory, it's still warm, kids have just gone back to school and people are thinking about Xmas! Yes, they really do. If you think about what could be nicer than spending some time with your family in a new home at Christmas. Once you have secured a buyer and found your dream home the whole process usually takes 10 to 12 weeks, so if you work that back from the 25th you need to have secured a buyer at the very latest by the 2nd of October. With the market going through a transition and then with Xmas approaching you may have to act now.
