Singleton is a suburb in Ashford, located next to Great Chart and South Ashford, with good access to the A20, M20, the town centre and the A28 towards Tenterden. The area has a small area of shops, including a McColls, Sue Ryder Charity shop, A Pharmacy, play area as well as the Singleton Barn pub. There is also near this area the Singleton Health Centre and Great Chart primary school, so has all local amenities on the estate. Great Chart primary school has an outstanding Ofsted report from 2016, with an age range of pupils between four and eleven. For secondary schools, the John Wallis School is within a short drive, but there are also great bus links into town, where from there within walking distance there is the North School, Highworth Grammar School for Girls and the Norton Knatchbull.

For a two-bedroom flat in the area £180,000-£200,000 and a two-bedroom house should fetch between £210,000-£240,000. A three-bedroom house would be between £250,000-£350,000, with the top end being a detached property. Then a four-bedroom property would be north of £350,000. For restaurants in the area, on the estate there is Singleton Barn, who serve lovely pub food, serving between 12-3pm for lunch Monday-Friday and 17:00-20:30 for diner, Friday and Saturday 12:00-21:00 and Sunday 12:00-19:00. The Singleton Barn is also currently offering the Eat out to help out scheme as well, so you can get up to £10 off per person Monday-Wednesday. For walking in the area, there is the beautiful Singleton Environmental Centre, which not only is great for walking, but also holds activities for all ages, including Knit and Natter, pond dipping and Bats of Kent, please be aware currently these may be on hold. The centre also has Footprints Café Bistro, open between 09:00 and 16:00, with a Roast lunch on Sunday between 12:00 and 14:00, but booking is advised for this.
