The average price of homes coming to the market has now reached £354,564. This is a record-breaking new price for the UK average, with a monthly increase from February of 1.7%. The annual change for house prices across the UK hits +10.4% since this time last year. Within the first 14 days of a property coming to market, 47% are going under offer. This is due to a strong sellers market.
Rightmove have stated this is the "best ever spring sellers’ market". One in five homes being put under offer within the first seven days of marketing. From what we have seen so far, Rightmove have stated there are twice as many buyers compared to sellers, which will see price increases as buyers go into bidding wars for their next homes.
The average property price in the South East now stands at £473,922. According to Rightmove, this is a year on year change of +12.6% and a monthly increase of 3.3%.
